ABSTRACT: According to the Global Air Navigation Plan, all ICAO member states should implement improvement programs in air navigation systems to increase safety, reduce emissions, and ultimately reduce costs and increase overall system efficiency. This paper presents an overview of the current state of the airport in BiH and a review of existing systems and equipment for instrument approach. BiH is specific in terms of certain conditions, primarily due to its airport geolocation and the characteristics of the surrounding terrain, as well as due to the meteorological conditions that together represent limitations for reducing the current minimum for certain procedures. A large number of ICAO members are working on finding specific solutions that will contribute to capacity improvement and decreasing minima without jeopardizing the saftety, as it will be presented in the paper.

SAŽETAK: Prema Global Air Navigation Plan-u sve zemlje članice ICAO-a trebaju provoditi programe poboljšanja u sistemima zrakoplovne navigacije u cilju povećanja sigurnosti, smanjenje emisije štetnih plinova, i u konačnici smanjivanje troškova i povećanje sveukupne efikasnosti sistema. U radu je dat pregled trenutnog stanja aerodroma u BiH te pregled postojećih sistema i opreme za instrumentalni prilaz. BiH je specifična u smislu određenih ograničenja, prvenstveno zbog same geolokacije aerodroma i karakteristika okolnog terena, te zbog meteoroloških uslova koji svi zajedno predstavljaju ograničenja za smanjivanje trenutnoj minimuma za pojedine procedure. Veliki broj članica ICAO-a rade na iznalaženju pojedinih rješenja koje bi doprijele povećanju kapaciteta i smanjivanju minmimuma bez da se ugrozi sigurnost što će biti navedeno i u radu.
