SYSTEMS PROTECTIVE BARRIER FOR ROADS IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA AND THEIR IMPACT ON SECURITY OF PARTICIPANTS IN TRAFFIC

Nedžad Dautović, Kemal Čakar

ABSTRACT: Protective barriers as technical and security structures constitute an important means of passive safety of traffic on the roads. EN 1317 prescribes standards for protective fencinž. Application of EN 1317 means that the choice of the system that is installed needs to be a consequence of a comparative analysis of the level of danger to road users, road characteristics, traffic volume and other conditions in the road area. In practice we have different solutions and ways of setting up protective fences. This paper will describe the situation of safety fences on the roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
